Cabo has grown from a simple fishing village in the 1990’s to a major tourist destination. It has plenty of recreation activities, such as; sports fishing, snorkeling, parasailing, golf, spa, ATV tours, boat tours, scuba diving, whale watching, horseback riding, nightlife, and sightseeing. If you come here, do so wanting to have an active vacation given the amenities available for the active. But it still has a laid back attitude.
When you want to get out of the sun and into a cool environment the ladies will enjoy the Puerto Paraiso entertainment and shopping center in the heart of Cabo San Lucas. This very large mall also encompasses the marina with shops and restaurants.
Cabo has many resorts, hotels and vacation rentals with varying price range to accommodate most families and singles. You should study the accommodations to see if they meet your personal situation, since Cabo offers a wide variety of options.
A less known way to tour the central area of town is to rent a scooter. Since the tourist area is relatively small a scooter is an excellent way to see the town and stop at the different shops, restaurants, and bars. Finding parking around town is not easy; the street parking fills up quickly. The Puerto Paraiso mall does offer plenty of covered parking spaces for just a few dollars per day.
If you really want something out of the ordinary, whale watching is a great activity during your stay; make sure to check the tour schedules before deciding on what time of the year to visit. As every year the grey whales make their way from the cold waters of the Bering Sea to these warm waters.
For those that appreciate a little more adventure than lying out by the pool. The Boca de Sierra National Park Canyon Canopy Zipline Adventure may be your ticket. The Canyon Canopy Tour departs from Cabo San Lucas daily; they provide transportation, equipment, water and snacks, the tour lasts approximately 5 hours. This tour will take you to the protected Sierra National Park, which offers beautiful forests, rolling hills, deep canyons, rushing streams. With double ziplines through the open canyons along the Crazy Ladder, Commando and Hanging Bridges before arriving at the Tarzan Swing, the ultimate zipline over 1800 feet long.
