Abstract: This paper presents an architecture for a direct manipulation user interface for browsing and querying geographic data. This interface provides users with a high level object oriented conceptual view of the underlying database independent of the databases native data model. It lets users manipulate different representations of a single georeferenced entity, thereby adding a new degree of flexibility to query facilites.
